Seth Butler
Founder, Instructor
Photographer/Educator Seth Butler is a photojournalist, editorial and fine art documentary photographer. Seth received a BFA from Montserrat College of Art and has worked as a photo editor and art director in the editorial, advertising and educational marketplaces. His photography is collected throughout the United States, has solicited praise in national photo competitions and is published in major periodicals and online venues.
Seth has worked as a producer and photo educator on domestic and international workshops for over five years. His recent globe-spanning experiences have found him directing traffic to keep roads open in Eastern Tibet, taking a stab at Rajasthani dance steps with our students in India, and helping us to fuse friendships with monks and nuns throughout Myanmar (Burma).
When not seeking out the next Decisive Moment in the field, he may be found by the fireside in Vermont, brushing up on the History of Photography, reading subversive literature and studying social justice issues in the company of BBC radio; waiting for the next powder day to open up the Jay Peak glades to waist-deep riding conditions.
