Inarguably one of the most important and influential countries of the next century, and home to one of the worlds most changing social environments; India is the location of our first Project workshop in 2011. Come with us to work with some of the varied NGOs and nonprofits that have helped shape India's development projects over the last 50 years. Learn the skills necessary to work successfully and profitably with these organizations in one of the most culturally diverse countries on Earth.

During this informative, exciting and challenging Project Workshop, we work with NGOs of varying specialization from agriculture to health care in the Northern city of Dehradun, India. While photographing at the foothills of the Himalayas, workshop attendees will be given the task of creating a compelling visual or multimedia narrative in conjunction with their assigned nonprofit. Each nonprofit assignment is chosen based on an extended questionnaire from each student on their goals for the workshop and their own personal photographic vision.

Our NGO / nonprofit Project workshops allow for the freedom in scheduling based on the photographer's and nonprofit's vision. Each student will meet with the instructors on a one-on-one basis to discuss their photography, their assigned nonprofits and develop a strategy based on the student's goals for the workshop.

During the workshop, our staff and instructors stand at the ready to help attendees navigate their way to the successful conclusion of their narrative project. We tailor this workshop specifically to each student on a personal level so that you leave with the best experience and the strongest portfolio of nonprofit work possible.

Important Workshop Note: This workshop requires a minimum skills aptitude due to the nature of the close work with the partner non-profits. The conditions on this workshop can be difficult due to the nature of rural accommodations. This is not a luxury trip nor a travel oriented tour. This course is designed for people who have working knowledge of the photo mechanical process and the desire to help a nonprofit with their images. Momenta will work with each photographer to find the right fit with a local NGO partner upon registration. Please contact us for more information about this workshop today!
