Commodore Sillypants von Coders, though he prefers the affectionate nickname "Cody", is not the sort interested in baroque formality. He's a roll-up-the-rawhide, gett'er'done sort of dog. 

Every once in a while life bestows a gift of such magnitude on a family that any effort to describe it falls pitifully short of the goal. Cody came from Georgia – "Bark, Bark, y'all!" – by way of Dogs in Danger of Maryland to rescue the owners of Momenta from the daily grind of entrepreneurship.  

From his first anxious ride home on Chris’ laps, we knew this ten (soon to be eighty) pound treasure was something special. It was as if the the heavens had known we'd need the perfect CFO / Comptroller, bestowing him on us to take on his first role with Momenta. Tirelessly working for scraps, only occasionally willing to succumb to bribery of forest walks and meaty-bits, he brought an energy and order the company dearly needed. 

This role was short-lived however. Cody proved a quick study when it came to grasping the vagaries of the visual media marketplace. Recently, he's taken on the mantle of Media Prognosticator for the company, as the company slowly transitions its operations to outreach and industry development.

The fit was perfect, as he often says, "The dog-eat-dog world of media just feels like a great dog park where everyone's sniffing each others butts, trying to steal each other's toys; but really, it's hard to find any truly bad dogs." 

Honestly, it's impossible to refer to Cody as a dog, as his is an old soul we feel chose us; rather than the other way around. From the moment he graced our home and offices, he simply fell into his special place in our lives.

Never once was he 'trained' for any particular thing at the office. It is as if he was born speaking English, endowed with perfect trust, able to chew on a vexing question until it was ate up, once and for all. This has shaped Momenta in more ways than one might imagine for a partner without thumbs. 



With Momenta for 14-years of companionship, Cody has traveled to over a dozen states, acted as therapy dog on workshops, and happily explored thousands of miles of mountain trails as an equal in all regards. From these walks, free of office stressors, have emerged the magic of his leadership. His is a pure, outdoorsy vision and a willingness to chase a fleeting moment of inspiration until it dashes back to its burrow. 

Momenta cherishes his leadership. He's never perfectly happy unless he's lying between his two caretakers Jamie and Chris or happily hopping in the shower to stay fresh for the next adventure.

For him, a life fully lived is one filled with days of affection, adoration, comfort and care. He knows no other state of being. 

This mindful, presence of a lived a life free of fences, rich with love, and entirely devoid of adversity is a daily inspiration to us all. For this, we are proud to call him a Momenta Partner.
